Panasonic’s Family Friendly Speaker
When Panasonic got in touch to see if I might like to give their new wireless speaker a go, I can’t say I was overwhelmed with enthusiasm. Technology, while I find it interesting, isn’t hugely my bag and I wasn’t really sure how I’d give the product credit in a blog post. Especially while trying to gear it around family and bringing up two little ones etc. I always like to be as authentic as possible and if a product’s not really compatible with kids/something I use, then I’m not keen to push it on my audience.
HOWEVER. While our house is being renovated, we’ve shipped everyone to one of the rentals we own and in a bid to make the whole process easier and quicker, have shoved a lot of our belongings in storage. This includes speakers/gadgets/the four Sonos’ we had dotted around and so our ordinarily noisy environment had turned quite quiet. Enter, Panasonic’s ALL05.
I love having relaxing music on while I bathe Milo in the evening; it helps him unwind, it helps me unwind and for the past couple of weeks I’d just been cranking up the volume on my phone and shoving it in an empty glass (old school trick there). So when I remembered Panasonic had mentioned this new speaker was waterproof (you can shove it in up to 1m of water) I grabbed it out the packaging and popped it in the bathroom, ready to use that night. And it was fab! No worrying about droplets landing on it (Milo’s quite the splasher), no concern for it being knocked over. The sound is obviously brilliant and that’s obviously the most important part to most folk but for me, it’s great to have a bit of technology I’m not bellowing ‘WATCH OUT!’ about whenever my toddler goes near it. It’s completely, 100% family friendly.
I bathe Rex in a mini tub in the living room (during which Milo likes to ‘help’) and yet again, I popped it on with some soothing nursery rhymes, could focus on bathing the baby and Milo prodded around with it without me panicking. Yes, it went on and off a few times ’til I had to gently stop him playing DJ Dreadful but I didn’t have to keep it out the way, on a shelf. No wires, no hassle, just plonked next to whatever I’m doing.
The ALL05 has got 9 hours of battery life so, perfect for BBQs (and obviously thanks to the whole waterproof thing, perfect for rainy BBQs in England). It comes in black or white so blends in nicely to anywhere in the home and is light enough for any mum or dad to carry around with one hand while you baby wrangle with the other. It retails at £199.00 so isn’t the cheapest on the market, but I think well worth the spend seeing as you can use it anywhere at any time (so long as you’ve remembered to charge it of course).
I’m genuinely really glad we’ve got this little box with us now and am always hunting around the house, trying to remember where I last had it, so we’ll no doubt be grabbing a couple more. If you’ve got any questions about it then please feel free to fire them over to me or take a look at all the info on their website about the ALL05 here. Happy music-ing!
Please note; this is a sponsored post. However, I only promote products I genuinely use/rate, so please be assured I’m never peddling any old thang here. I know mums and dads don’t always have disposable incomes and that being genuine about what’s suitable for families is important.
