Boohoo Maternity – Top Picks
So, admittedly, I wasn’t the biggest Boohoo shopper before on the hunt for maternity clothes which didn’t make me feel like I was 94. But the search led me their way and I have to say, they get a heap of ticks from me. The items aren’t dull as you like, there’s lots of variety, some really nice ‘dressier’ suggestions, they don’t shy away from figure hugging and most importantly, it’s incredibly affordable. I’ve ordered a few things to be ready and waiting for once we get home in a few weeks so I’ll be reporting back on the quality, but for now, I really like ’em. In case you can’t be bothered to trawl through their catalogue, here’s the top 10 items I’d gladly pop my bump in. Nice work Boohoo.
More often than not, being pregnant means giving up leather/pleather. Not this time it doesn’t! And I always prefer any trouser/legging which opts for over the bump as opposed to under
This is one of the items I’ve ordered; I love the colour and the baggy fit. Perfect for slouching around the house but would also look fab with jeans and isn’t too heavy
I popped an Isabella Oliver dress up on Insta the other day and I absolutely love it. However, I know lots of women aren’t keen on paying too much for maternity items and this black midi might just be a really nice, cheaper alternative. Plus, as it starts to warm up in England, you’ll want a thin, simple dress you can just slide on and roll out the door in.
I don’t think there’s a more flattering skirt length for a pregnant woman than the midi and I absolutely love how smart this dress is. Not sure if I prefer it in red or black (it also comes in powder blue) but it’s such a great option if you’ve got a night out/wedding to attend and don’t want to be stuck in something floral.
Another really great ‘dressy’ option and again, sultry over frumpy. I think beige can really suit a bump; it gives a lovely silhouette and teamed with some bright heels or black strappys, this would look knockout (can’t promise either of those last two suggestions are good choice of footwear FYI. I attended a wedding while 38 weeks pregnant with Milo and good LORD my trotters were like two blimps by the end of the night)
So, firstly… IT HAS POCKETS. Secondly, this would suit a summer pregnancy or autumn/winter. You’d simply opt for either bare legs or tights. I think this would look really fab teamed with some bright white high tops or chunky black boots.
Can you tell I felt like I was starved from glamour last pregnancy? Another party dress contender; who ever thought a flapper-style dress for someone wielding a bump wouldn’t look dreadful?
OK, so I moan about stripes being a pregnant woman’s uniform a LOT… but I do like a ‘bit’ of nautical and this is a really great length for those days where it’s warm enough to bare your legs but y’know… is still England. With a bit of red lipstick and some black boots, this could look really smart.
I like that Boohoo are including us pregnants in the bell sleeve/festival chic vibe and this is a simple yet statement look. Feel like you could keep this for post baby too, it doesn’t look in the least bit ‘maternity’ and this is another item I’ve ordered myself
GUYS… this is sexy. An actual sexy thing to wear for a woman growing a human; hallelujah! It’s almost like Boohoo realised we’re not rocking chastity belts ’til the human comes out, life is crazy and every day is a rollercoaster. Seriously though, day or night, this dress can see you through aaaaaand now I’m about to order it. (I love that the straps are wide enough not to flash your boulder holder bra straps too)
